Step into a world of imagination, where I work closely with you to bring your very own bespoke character to life. Each creation begins with a story — perhaps inspired by a much-loved pet or a favourite native animal — and is gently transformed into a charming anthropomorphic companion.
Your character may be dressed exactly as you envision, or you can leave the details in my hands. I delight in selecting from a treasure trove of vintage fabrics and curious little accessories, carefully chosen to suit each personality and tale.
Every Spindlepins character is lovingly crafted around a wire armature, allowing them to be fully poseable — ready to perch, wander, or simply sit and dream wherever they are placed.

One day it came to me, I wonder if she could create a cockapoo Beti Boo. She did and Beti’s perfect and settled in with us all perfectly. She’s my pride and joy.”

Beti, a much-loved cockapoo with the most fabulous eyelashes, was the inspiration behind this delightful character. Her owner imagined that, if she were human, she would undoubtedly be a devoted fashionista — and so she is elegantly dressed in an “about town” suit, perfectly complemented by a silk scarf, capturing a sense of effortless sophistication. Her handbag has been thoughtfully crafted from vintage leather and repurposed belt buckles, while her charming hat box is created using carefully selected vintage papers and antique music score sheets.
The customer requested a smaller character piece that could be easily shipped overseas as a special birthday gift for a much-loved nephew. The brief was to create a pirate, with the choice of animal left entirely up to me. A pirate rat felt like the perfect fit—full of personality and charm. Here he is, complete with a leather waistcoat, cutlass belt, and his very own Jolly Roger flag, ready for adventure on the high seas.
